Halloween History – How People Celebrate Halloween ?

What is Event of Halloween?

Halloween is also known as Hallow’s Eve and is an event celebrated in a large number of countries every year. Each year, the day of 31 October and it is celebrated to dedicate memories to the dead people including the saints and all the faithful departed people. Christians in the West as well as the non-Christians also celebrate this event in the West and around the world in many continents. Many fascinating haunted attractions are available for this day, when people choose all sorts of costumes and masks to look scary and have as much fun as they can.

Christians also in some parts of the world visit cemeteries to pray and place flowers and candles on the graves of their loved ones. The celebration of Halloween is becoming more commercial and cultural these days rather than spiritual or religious. A scene of parties around the world with delicious foods, apples, cakes and potatoes is observed on Halloween.

The History of Halloween

The history of Helloween is very old, in the 16th century, a similar festival was celebrated in Ireland and other countries of Europe where people used to go from house to house in their fabulous costumes which is pretty similar to the current Helloween. They sing a lot of songs and lovely tunes along with specially made verses for the day of Helloween to pay tribute to the souls of the dead. The people also wear costumes that represent them as spirits.

In order to avoid being recognized by any soul that might be seeking  vengeance, people would don masks or costumes to disguise their identities and look like something unusual and unliving. This tradition however spread to North America and United Kingdom in the 19th century.

Decorations and Scary Costumes For Halloween

On the day of Halloween, people do a lot of preparation before this day arrives. As Its almost like a big event, people where scary costumes, there is huge competition before the Halloween day among Halloween costume shops in America, they provide different ideas for Halloween costumes. Every one one to be different and more scary. Halloween costumes for kids, Halloween costumes for women available on different costume stores. People decorate their yards, public spaces, and some houses may be decorated with traditionally macabre symbols including witches, skeletons, ghosts, cobwebs, and headstones. Other customary celebrations include Trick or Treat games, which are immensely popular among the children on Halloween. Young teenagers and females also dress up in weird scary costumes in America and play with their friends.

Halloween costumes are the most unusual ones and spooky in the world. they are  traditionally modeled after supernatural figures such as vampires, monsters, ghosts, skeletons, witches, and devils to present an atmosphere of goofiness. Some popular characters from the fiction are also fantasized like the Dracula, the vampires and the witches. In the Halloween parties, the costumes became an integral part of the event and became popular in boys and girls in the 1930s.

Halloween parade Disneyland: 

In the year 1974, the Network city started another tradition regarding celebrating the event of Halloween. The New York Halloween Parade began in the 1974 which is the world’s largest Halloween parade in the world in which hundreds of millions people participate each year with enthusiasm. It is an event equally spent in the Christians of Asia like Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
